Description

In many liquid pipeline systems, it is crucial to maintain pressure within relatively narrow limits. This is the function of OCV Series 108 pressure relief/back pressure regulating valves. The standard 108-2 model, installed in the main discharge line, acts as a back pressure or pressure sustaining valve. In this configuration, the valve maintains a constant pressure at the inlet regardless of pressure fluctuations at the outlet. When used in a bypass line, the same model will function as a safety relief valve, protecting the system from potentially dangerous surges.
